Röyksopp Music Video

“The idea was to put an emphasis on the clubbier aspects of our music, as well as returning to our roots within the realms of electronic music.”

This project explores the development of a conceptual music video through image-based experimentation and style frames. Using original photographs captured with light and physical materials, the visuals were treated as a fixed source; no alterations to the original images were allowed.

New compositions were created exclusively by layering, reframing, and sequencing these photographs, transforming still imagery into motion-driven style frames. Through repetition, distortion, and frame-by-frame animation, the project translates Röyksopp’s electronic sound into a visual language focused on rhythm, atmosphere, and emotional intensity.

The final frames emphasize texture, light, and abstraction, functioning as visual beats rather than literal narrative moments, proposing how sound, energy, and performance can be communicated through motion and design.
